Primary Functions of Tugboats & Push Boats
Tugboats are frequently used in ports and harbors to help maneuver large vessels, such as cargo ships, tankers, and cruise ships, into and out of docking positions. Their power and maneuverability make them crucial for navigating tight spaces where large ships cannot easily move on their own.Tugs assist in pushing or pulling vessels during berthing (docking) and unberthing (leaving the dock) to ensure they are positioned safely and accurately.
